Earl Faulkner

Ringling- Earl Faulkner left his earthly home at the Veteran’s Center in Ardmore, OK, Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Ardmore, OK at the age of 87. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Ronnie Harbour and Dr. Virgil Trout officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Earl was born May 12, 1924 at Mountain Home, OK to the late Claude Andrew and Ada Calista (Skinner) Faulkner. He served his country honorably in WWII and returned to Ringling to marry Illa Mae Farmer and begin his life doing what he loved, farming and ranching. In 1962 Illa Mae departed this life in an auto accident and he was left with his two young children to care for. He took on that duty with focused responsibility at a time before a father did this single handed. He became a member of the Ringling Church of Christ in 1963 and was a Zaneis school board member for many years while his children were in school. He never remarried, but spent his remaining years on his ranch near Ringling.

He was preceded in death by his wife Illa Mae; his parents, Claude and Ada Faulkner; brother, Dale Faulkner; sister, Leona Dodson and infant brother Cecil.

Survivors include two children; son, Mike Faulkner and wife Ernie; daughter Pam Snell; sisters, Lavonia Dillard and husband Jerry, Retha Allen and husband Don, and Christene Apala, all of Ringling. Sister -in-law, Darlene Faulkner of Ringling. Grandchildren; Misti White, Ada, OK, Jeremy Faulkner, Eric Faulkner and wife Crystal, Dustin Faulkner all of Ringling; Tasha Howell, Yukon, OK, and Amber Hanson, Ardmore, OK; great grandchildren, Naz, Londyn, Journey, Legacie, Logan, Hope & Nicholas;

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Faulkner, Eric Faulkner, Ronnie Harbour, Ty Hammons, Trey Hammons and Trent Hammons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Dillard, Allen White, John Luke Neble and Willie Don Smith.
