Direct burial services for Earl Edward Garmon, Sr., 84, of Ardmore, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Provence Cemetery in Ardmore. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.
Earl Edward Garmon, Sr. was born April 5, 1938, to the late Mr. William Garmon and Mrs. Erca (Jay) Garmon at Oklahoma City, OK. He departed this life Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Inspire Hospital in Midwest City.
Earl was raised in Oklahoma City where he graduated High School and joined the United States Army directly after at the age of 18. He married the former Miss Shirley Buntin in 1962 at Oklahoma City. To this union they were blessed with three children. Earl served in the Military for two terms and studied to be a mechanic during that time. After being honorably discharged he opened his own mechanic shop around 1968. He was an avid collector of many things. Most importantly he was a minister of the Pentecostal faith, working prison ministry for many years. Earl enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his canine companion, Itsy Bitsy.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Shirley (Buntin) Garmon and his son, Toby Garmon.
Survivors include his sons, Earl Garmon, Jr. and wife Debbie of Dickson and Tracy Garmon of Ardmore; grandchildren, Amanda Garmon, Jason Garmon, Toby Garmon, Jr., Lance Garmon, Winter Hunter, and Heather Turner; great grandchildren, Emma Garmon, Kenzi Gonzalez, Lain Garmon, Chason Garmon, and Oliver Garmon; numerous other family and friends.
