Douglas Henry Hickman

February 8, 1937 — September 24, 2015

Wilson– Funeral Services for Mr. Douglas Henry Hickman, 78, of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, September 28, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Leslie Sullivan and Mickey Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Reck Cemetery.


Doug was born February 8, 1937 at Zaneis, OK to the late Mr. Henry Huston Hickman and Mrs. Callie Mae (McClurg) Hickman . He departed this life Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his home in Wilson.


Doug was raised around cheek until moving to Ardmore at the age of 12. He attended school at Plainview and Ardmore. He and the former Ms. Inez Aycox were married on August 2, 1958 at Ardmore. They lived in California before settling in Wilson. Doug was employed in the oilfield all of his working years. He worked for Petco Armstrong Oil Tools, and Weatherford before being employed at Thompson Pumps out of Ratliff City where he was currently working as the manager. Doug had a passion for work always enjoying his career in the Oilfield. When he wasn’t working in the Oilfield he also enjoyed staying busy by gardening and mowing his lawn.


Preceding him in death are his Parents; grandchildren, Benjamin Bryce and Brooklyn on December 20, 2012; daughter in law who he loved like a daughter, Dondria Hickman; 5 sisters, Betty Jo Henley, Aleta Southerland, Peggy Brown, Mildred Hickman, and Shirley Givens; 3 brothers, Jack, Sidney, and Jimmy Dale “Buck” Hickman.


Survivors include his wife Inez of the home; daughters, Angie Kilcrease and husband Joe of Ratliff City, Pam Walker and husband Greg of Marietta; four sons, Douglas C. Hickman and wife Shelly of Fox, Henry Hickman of Durant, Barry Hickman and wife Sara of Wilson, Benjie Hickman-a grandson whom he raised like a son of Wilson; brother, Wes Hickman of Overbrook; sister, Pat White of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren, Jacob Hickman, Huston Hickman, Benjie Hickman, Jesse Kilcrease, Dakota Kilcrease, Gregory Walker, Zackery Walker, Dyllon Hickman, Rebekah Morales, Amber Robinson, Jessica, Bierly, and Diamond Hickman; two special great grandchildren, Kyle Zapata and Tyler Hickman along with the other great grandchildren, David, Noah, Waylon, Haston, Brynlee, Josie, Tessa, and Bria.


Casket Bearers are Jesse Kilcrease, Dakota Kilcrease, Gregory Walker, Zackery Walker, Jacob Hickman, Huston Hickman, and Dyllon Hickman.



Honorary Bearers are Kyle Zapata, Tyler Hickman, Lonnie Carter, James Thompson, and Larry Gunter.


Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Sunday evening at Alexander Funeral Home funeral of Wilson.
