Dorothy Carleen Lamb

Wilson - Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Dorothy Carleen (Petree) Lamb, 86 are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Assembly of God Church of Wilson with her son in law Dewayne Jennings officiating and Bro. Micah Wells assisting. Services are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory.


Dorothy Carleen was born on November 29, 1931 in Stigler, OK to the late Mr. Jim Andrew Petree and Mrs. Vera Alpha (Russell) Petree. She went to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Elmbrook Nursing Home in Ardmore.


She was raised the first seven years of her life at Stigler thereafter moving to Kingsburg, CA. There she remained and later in life married Mr. Merle E. Lamb on May 15, 1950 at the Salvation Army Church at Traver, CA. They resided all of their married lives together at Delft Colony, CA. Merle preceded her in death on September 5, 1991. Since then, Dorothy Carleen has been close to her family residing at California and Oklahoma. She moved to Healdton in 2009 and loved attending church at the Wilson Assembly of God Church. One of her favorite things to do was singing happy birthday to all of her family on their birthday. She loved singing at church and always enjoyed the church services at Elmbrook Nursing Home.


In addition to her husband, those who also preceded her in death was her Parents; daughter Patricia Berry, sisters, Hazel, Bonnie, Betty, Serena and Irene and a brother James Petree.


Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Sutton and husband Randy, Marilyn Jennings and husband Dewayne and Lois Cunningham and husband Rick all of Healdton; son in law, Lloyd Berry of Squaw Valley, CA; sister, Norma Jean Scroggins and husband Norman of Oregon; sister in law, Donna Rhodes and husband JW of Healdton; grandchildren, Daniel Berry and wife Satomi, Ryan Jennings and wife Shelly, Randy Sutton, Nicole Gipson and husband Patrick, Darryl Nixon and Annie, Rikki Cunningham, and Beverly Nixon; great grandchildren, John and Natalie Jennings, Shalom, Charis and Hezekiah Berry, Hendrix Nixon and Brantley Boss; many other nieces and nephews and all of her church family at the Wilson Assembly of God and the many residents of Elmbrook nursing home.
