Ringling -Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Hope (Patrick) Stanton, 80 of Ringling are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle in Ringling with Rev. Jimmy Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling. Services will be under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.

Doris Hope Stanton gently passed away Wednesday April 14, 2010 at Ardmore with all her sons and daughters and her brothers and sister and multiple nieces and nephews at her bedside.

She was born on June 6, 1929, in Lockhart, TX. She grew up in Fort Towson, OK, before moving to Ringling, OK to graduate from Ringling High School. She married Floyd Lee Stanton on May 18, 1947 at Ringling. They had five children: Danny Lee Stanton, Jerry Michael Stanton, Clifton Dean Stanton, Patrick Kevin Stanton and Elizabeth Hope McLemore. She and Floyd operated multiple businesses in Ringling. She knew the value of a work ethic and instilled that in each of her children. She was an avid reader and taught the importance of education to her children. All of her children graduated from college.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle in Ringling. She loved her church family and led life not just by words but by example. She will be missed also for the many dolls she refurbished for the Ringling Christmas Community Santa program and for the love she had for grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father Daniel James Patrick, her mother Novella (Patrick) Sutton, a Sister, Mickey, sister Polly and her husband, Floyd Lee Stanton who died October 3, 1994.

Survivors include Daughter Elizabeth Hope McLemore and husband Terry Edward of Ringling, 4 Sons, Danny Lee Stanton and wife Kathleen Zenz of Burneyville, Jerry Michael Stanton and wife Gladys Bonilla of Colleyville, TX, Clifton Dean Stanton and wife Joan Helene of Midland, TX, and Patrick Kevin Stanton and wife Oma Katherine of Grapevine, TX. Grandchildren, Michael Stanton, Dustin Stanton, Holly Beardow, Amarillys Hatton, Joseph Stanton, Jennifer Kury, Jessica Tipton, Nathan Noble, Emiline Stanton, Elizabeth Stanton, Ellery Stanton, Terel McLemore and Hope McLemore. Great Grandchildren, Gabriel Hatton, Joel Hatton, Liam Hatton, Taylar Tipton, Isaiah Vasquez, Eliciah Vasquez, Zackary Stanton, Sarah Stanton, Averee Tipton, Luke Tipton and 3 future great grandchildren. Sister Donna “Toppy” Wade and husband Jake of Ringling, 2 Brothers, Daniel “Junior” Patrick, II and wife Ollie of Ringling, and Don Patrick and wife Drew of Ringling. A host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Pallbearers Michael J. Stanton, Dustin Stanton, Jim Beardow, Tim Tipton, Nick Kury, Joseph Stanton, Nathan Noble, and Terel McLemore.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Friday evening at the funeral home in Ringling. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle at the First National Bank in Ringling.
