Ratliff City – Funeral Services for Mr. Donald Ray “Donny” Holbein, 50, of Ratliff City are scheduled for 10 am Monday June 21, 2010 at Ratliff City First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Cox and Rev. Ben Sanchez officiating. Entombment Services will follow at Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Donny was born Nov. 16, 1959 in Alice, TX to Mr. Alec Holbein and Mrs. Carole Kay (McNeal) Holbein. Our Papa went home in the early evening hours in the arms of our Mimi on Wed. June 16, 2010 at Healdton, OK.
Donny attended school at Hebbronville, TX where he also attended church at St. James Episcopal Church. After graduating from school there he began working for Halliburton and was employed for seventeen years in Texas. He then moved to Ratliff City, Oklahoma and met the love of his life, Tresa Kay Brown. At Ratliff City he worked as a building contractor for several years.
Donny always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He loved life and enjoyed fishing, camping and of course Ford Trucks. He loved his family, friends and grandchildren above the love of his life , Tresa Kay Brown, and sons Michael Sean Brown and Kevin Teafatiller. Papa, you will be greatly missed, never forgotten and we will always love you.
Preceding him in death is his Father, Mr. Alec Holbein.
Survivors include his Love of his life, Tresa Kay Brown of the home, Daughter, Krystal Murphy and husband John of South Carolina, Sons, Stetson Holbein of Laredo, TX, Justin Holbein of South Carolina, and Michael Holbein also of South Carolina. Other children whom were like his own, Michael Brown and wife Dana of Ratliff City, and Kevin Teafatiller and wife Connie of Fox. Mother, Carole Kay Holbein of Hebbronville, TX. Sister, Debra Salinas, brother Ricky Lee Holbein and Hans Holbein all of Hebbronville, TX. 10 Grandchildren, Tisha Brown, Ashton Brown, Dalton Caine Brown, Gavin Teafatiller, Kyle Teafatiller, Lyndsey Teafatiller, Ashleah Teafatiller, Eli Murphy, Mallory Murphy and Michael Holbein. Numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Leslie Jones, David Schimdt, Mike Lee, Tommy Downy, Stan Schaffer, Dalton Paxon, Dave Proctor.
Memorial donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation for Children c/o Alexander Funeral Home, P.O. Box 221, Ratliff City, OK 73481.
Viewing will be available from 9 am to 9 pm Sunday June 20, 2010 at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
