Mr. Donnie Wayne Reynolds, of Ringling, departed this life on Thursday, June 25, 2020, in Frisco, TX at the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 2 days. Mr. Reynolds was born on November 23, 1942, in Bakersfield, CA, to the late Mr. Willie Alton Reynolds and Mrs. Ida Beatrice (Scheide) Reynolds.
The Reynolds family moved from California to Courtney, OK, where he was raised until Jr. High and then moved to Oklahoma City where he attended school and graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City. Mr. Reynolds married the love of his life Mrs. Emma Nayoma (Williams) Reynolds on April 12, 1962, in Wilson, OK, at the Rock Church. Together they made their home in Oklahoma City for many years before moving to Dallas, TX, then Ringling, OK, and recently Frisco, TX to be near family and receive medical care.
Mr. Reynolds was a firefighter for the Oklahoma City Fire Department. Upon retirement he became a master plumber and began missionary work for Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX, for 17 years.
Donnie was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful servant of God his entire life. He loved teaching Sunday school and going on mission trips. Watching baseball, especially the Texas Rangers was a favorite pastime of his. Mr. Reynolds was a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters: Local 157, Oklahoma State Firefighters Association, and Oklahoma City Retired Firefighters Association. He joyfully served others and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Paul Reynolds, Glen Reynolds, Henry Edger Reynolds, his twin brother Lonnie Reynolds, Frank Reynolds, and Lois (Reynolds) Hammontree.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Nayoma (Williams) Reynolds of the home; daughters, Lisa Reynolds of Richardson, TX, Mia Chase and her husband Michael of Frisco, TX; son, Brian Reynolds of Ringling; grandchildren, John Thompson, Josie Reynolds, Hayden Chase, Nathan Chase, and Emily Chase; brother, Dale Reynolds of Weatherford TX; sisters, Thelma Rushing of Shawnee, OK, Pauline Garrett of Perkins, OK.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson, OK, with Rev. Jason Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Bomar Point Cemetery in Wilson, OK. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
