Services for Donna Kaye Arterberry, 74, of Ardmore, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Ron Elmore officiating. Interment will follow at the Newport cemetery in Lone Grove.
Donna was born on February 3, 1950, at Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Bill Harkins and Mrs. Margie (Alexander) Harkins. She went to her Heavenly home Friday, November 29, 2024, at Denison, TX.
Raised in Ardmore, Donna graduated with the class of 1968 and went on to have a fulfilling career in retail management, dedicating 20 years of her professional life to Winn Dixie until her retirement. On April 26, 1980, Donna married Robert Leon Arterberry in a ceremony held in Lone Grove, embodying a love that would flourish throughout their years together. Her devotion extended beyond her marriage; she was a steadfast mother, beloved daughter, caring sister, and cherished wife. Donna was especially proud of her role as a nana, a title she held dear to her heart. A devoted Christian, Donna's faith was a central part of her identity and served as the foundation of her life. Her unwavering love for the Lord was evident in all she did. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, nurturing those relationships with warmth and love. Donna’s legacy is one of compassion, devotion, and familial love, and she will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Leon on December 3, 2011; great granddaughter, Braxxtyn McMillan January 16, 2019; great niece, Abigail Elizabeth Watson.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle McGuire and husband Alan of Lone Grove; son, Jaren Arterberry and wife Mimi of Lone Grove; brothers, Billy Harkins and wife Pam of Allen, TX and Jimmy Harkins and wife Susan of Ardmore, OK; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pollard, Jake McGuire, Olivia McGuire, Sarah McGuire, Bryson Arterberry, and Brody Arterberry; great grandchildren, Violet McMillan, Lyla McGuire, and Dawson McGuire; special nephews, Shawn Harkins and wife Lori, Jeremy Harkins and wife April; special niece, Melissa Watson and husband Jose; great nieces and nephews, Kaylie Harkins, Cade Harkins, Kasson Harkins, Caleb Watson, and Noah Watson; numerous other family and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Alan McGuire, Jake McGuire, Bryson Arterberry, Brody Arterberry, Shawn Harkins, and Jeremy Harkins.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, from 6-8 P.M., at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
