Donn Robert Spellman

Healdton- Donn Robert Spellman was born March 7, 1973, at Friend, Nebraska to the late Mr. Gene Thomas Spellman, Sr. and Mrs. Gwendolyn (Waller) Spellman. He departed this life July 12, 2024, at Lexington at the age of 51. There will be private family services at Mt. Olive. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Donn was raised in Healdton where he attended school graduating with the class of 1992. He married the love of his life, Sandra Deanne Simon on August 16, 1992. Donn enlisted in the Army and soon began his basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. During that time, he also attended tech school but was moved to Lawton and was soon discharged from the service. Donn and Sandy made their home back at Healdton in 1995, where he was employed at Brady’s. He was later employed by True Steel in Ada for many years. Donn enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid sports fan. He loved watching OU Softball and Nebraska Football but most of all he had a passion for watching his kids, Donn and Bella, play sports as Healdton Bulldogs.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Sandy who passed June 2, 2024; Parents-in-law, Danny Leon Simon, Sr. and Ruby Carleane (Capehart) Simon.

Survivors include his children, Donn Robert Spellman, II and Bella Spellman both of Healdton; brother, Gene Thomas Spellman, Jr. and wife Julie of Edmond; sister, Liana Dewberry and husband Brett of Blanchard; brother-in-law, Danny “Chop” Leon Simon, Jr. and wife Mindy of Lexington; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and a host of friends.
