Donald "Otis" Mceuin

May 29, 1955 — June 22, 2024

Wilson- Services for Donald “Otis” McEuin, 69, of Wilson, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home and Crematory.

Otis was born May 29, 1955, at Wynnewood, Ok to the late Mr. James “Red” McEuin and Mrs. Wanda Lee (Bratcher) McEuin. He departed this life Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Oklahoma City.

Otis grew up in Pauls Valley, OK where he attended school, carrying perfect attendance all twelve years, and graduated with the class of 1973. He participated in several sports as a proud Panther, but wrestling was his all-time favorite. After graduation, Otis went to work for Uniroyal/ Michelin Tire Manufacturing and bought his first home. He continued employment with Michelin, working in the maintenance department for 35 years. After his retirement, he returned as a re-hire, where he worked other contract jobs. When Otis finally called it quits, he had been employed through Michelin for a total of nearly 50 years. His family owned a family business called Pauls Valley Stained Glass and Mirror where he often worked installing glass to help them out.  Otis also served as a Commander for the Royal Ranger Boys through the Assembly of God Church.  He would devote his time taking boys camping, hiking, exploring, and so much more.  Otis felt called to do this work, he loved all the boys that came through this program.  Many of them didn't belong to a church and were being raised by single mothers.  He took them fishing, hunting, camping, attended their games and even took them meals.  Otis was an adrenaline junky! He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, parasailing, sky diving, and many more things. Otis loved the holidays, dressing up, all in holiday fun, especially St. Patrick’s Day as he was of the Irish descent. He married Tamela “Tammy” Wood on May 4, 2022, and made their home in Wilson. He always had a positive outlook on life and everyone that knew him, has heard him say, “Never had it so good in all my life” which was his way of keeping each day a positive one.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Red and Wanda and a brother, Woody Lynch.

Survivors include his wife, Tamela of the Home; children, Chandra Light of Healdton, Jayme Gray and husband Logan of Wilson, and Dietra Epps of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Kayla Cantrell, Elijah Pack, and Isaiah Pack; great grandchildren, Aubree, Ava, and Wrenn; sister, Donna Sager and husband Rick of Pauls Valley; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.
