Don Edward Mashore

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mr. Don Edward Mashore, 88, of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Jamie Griffin officiating and Rick Pender assisting. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery, north of Ringling.

Don was born in Carter County, Oklahoma on September 19, 1932 as the fifth of nine children to the late Neil and Mildred Baker Mashore. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in Ardmore.

He attended school at Fox, where he met his devoted wife, Betty Sue Thompson. Don and Betty were married on April 3, 1953. He was called to the United States Army shortly after and served in the Korean War. Upon returning, he and Betty made their home in the Fox area, where they raised their two children. Don worked in the oilfield, retiring after 50 years. Don was a life member of the IOOF Lodge # 491, earning the Grand Master Degree. He was a lifetime member of the Graham Baptist Church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; Neil and Mildred (baker) Mashore; brothers, Raymond, Billy, Bobby, and Benny Mashore; sister, Joyce Mashore Brown and a great grandson, Hunter Mashore.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Thompson) Mashore of the home; daughter, LaDona Tadlock and her husband Dale of Healdton; son, Kenny Mashore and his wife Sherry of Ringling; brother, Jerry Mashore and wife Reba of Wilson; sisters, Cheryl Guidroz of New Braunfels, TX, Juanell Hamilton of Ada, OK; grandchildren, Jeremy Reynolds of Healdton,Kendra Brooks and husband Daniel of Wilson,Chytana Pierce and husband Bill of Healdton, Rusty Mashore and wife Amanda of Ringling, Daela Echols and husband John of Wilson; great grandchildren, Racelyn Gemmell, Danielle Brooks, Destiny Stahbusch, Harley Pierce, Dakota Pierce and Melody, Tristan Pierce and fiance Micah, Ruger Pierce, Tucker Mashore, Joshua Reynolds, Jordyn Reynolds, Chase Echols and wife Char, Rosslynne Echols, Raymond Echols, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jeremy Reynolds, Rusty Mashore, Billy Pierce, Tristain Pierce, Rugar Pierce, Tucker Mashore, Dakota Pierce, Chase Echols, and Raymond Echols.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gary Mashore, Steven Mashore, Ronnie Mashore, David Mashore, Roger Mashore, Special friends, Rick, Jayne, and Cooter Pender, Rudy and Molly Stewart: The Healdton IOOF Lodge members.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
