Doin Juanita Morgan

Ringling - Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Doin Juanita (Perkins) Morgan, 90, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday December 18, 2017 at the Gospel Tabernacle Church of Jesus Christ of Ringling with Jimmy Morris and Billy Holder officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Doin was born on Dec. 4, 1927 at Ringling to the late Mr. Cecil Wesley Perkins and Mrs. Cleo Flauda (Fuller) Perkins. She went to her heavenly home on Friday morning Dec. 15, 2017 at Plano, TX.

Doin was raised in Ringling attending school at Ringling. She attended church at the Gospel Tabernacle all of her life and was baptized in Jesus Name on September 1, 1947 with Otto and Allene Wade. Doin married Mr. John William Black on Dec. 25, 1943 and they were blessed with three children, Jerry, Mike and Pam. Doin worked outside the home for Alpha Morris and the Pants factory in Ringling. John preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 1963. Doin recalled being very thankful for her Church family during this time of loss. She gained employment at the local Cafe and soon met and later married Mr. Richard Washington Morgan on Sept. 4, 1964. They shared many wonderful years together always residing at Ringling and attending church at the Gospel Tabernacle.Doin enjoyed Sewing and canning in her spare time. She always felt best when she was needed to help someone and always lived her life for the Lord.

Richard also preceded her in death on August 18, 2000 in addition to her Parents; son, Jerry "Jerb" Black; grandson, Johnny Black; brothers, Robert, Arley, John Jr., and Jessie; sisters, Marie and Celestine.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Burks and her #1 son in law Charlie Burks of Reck; son, Mike "Blick" Black and wife Susie of Ringling; sisters, Sally Hutchinson and husband Danny and Katherine Byerly, all of Bakersfield, CA; grandsons, Johnny, Jimmy, Jesse, Dylan, J.D., Cody, Kevin and C.J.;granddaughters, Melissa and Jennifer; 17 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; numerous other family, Church family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Jimmy Black, Jesse Black, Cody Black, Dylan Stewart, C.J. Burks, Kevin Burks, Trevor Lyons and Landon Lyons.

Honorary Bearers are Jeremy Black, Derrick Black, Scott Lyons, Charlie Burks and Dale Riley.

Family visitation will be from 4pm to 6pm Sunday Dec. 17, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
