Diana Mae Ashley

Rattan - Pavilion Graveside Services for Mrs. Diana Mae (Kirkland) Ashley, 65 of Ringling formerly of Rattan, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday May 9, 2016 at Rattan Cemetery Pavilion at Rattan, OK with Rev. Eugene Christian officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Diana was born May 21, 1950 to Mr. William " Bill" Christian and Mrs. Mindora Mae (Kirkland ) Christian. She departed this life tragically May 3, 2016 following a vehicle accident.

Diana was raised primarily at Fox attending school there. She resided at Fox most of her years, living also at Rattan for about 20 years. She married Mr. Lloyd Lee Ashley July 22, 1985 at Paris, TX. They lived happily together for 20 years. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2004.

Diana worked outside the home providing home health care and enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, cooking, and sewing afghans. She attended church at the Living Word Tabernacle of Pruitt City and the Church of God of Divine Order.

In addition to her husband preceding her in death, also preceding her is stepsons, Lloyd Ervin and Marvin Ashley; brother, Billy Christian; sisters, Nora Arles and Rhonda Norris; grandson, Justin Ashley; nephew Lloyd McDowell and a niece Annie Arles.

Survivors include her Parents, Bill and Mae Christian of Ardmore; daughters, Elizabeth Cogburn and husband Kenny of Sobol, Theda Davis and husband Billy Mack of Valliante and Lori Whitaker of the home in Ringling; sons, Robert Ashley of Rattan and Michael Whittaker of Mississippi; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Paula McDowell and husband Frankie of Loco; brothers, Johnny Dhabalt and wife Linda of Burneyville and James Christian of Graham; numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Billy Mack Davis, Kerry Gaskey, Ivan Figueroa, Jerry Emerick, Gary Vanderburg and James Hammons.

Honorary Bearers are Rebecca Davis, Almeda Emerick, Neudora Hammons, Elizabeth Reynolds, Stacy Henry, Debbie Vanderburg, Candy Norris, Mandy Norris and Brandy McDowell.

Family visitation will be Saturday and Sunday Evenings at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
