Dewey Glenn Davis

Dewey Glenn “Shorty” Davis, 51, of Fox Oklahoma, passed from this life on December 19, 2015.

Shorty was born in Duncan, Ok to Glenn A. and Juanita Sue (Wheeler) Davis on July 10th 1964. He attended Fox high school and graduated in 1982. Shorty married Lisa Gail Smith of Fox on July 2, 1982. While living in Healdton area they had their first son Coby Landon in 1986. Shorty worked in the oil field until 1988 when he enlisted in the United States Armed Forces where he completed United States Army Ranger School and Special Forces Qualification in the Swiss Alps. He and his wife Lisa were stationed in Freidburg, Germany when they had their Daughter Raeanna Lee. Their son Erik Christopher was born while stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas. Shorty was a Veteran of Desert Storm. After his service, the family moved back home to Oklahoma where Shorty reentered the Oil Field. Shorty enjoyed watching his children grow and was a hardworking provider. He loved hunting, fishing and playing guitar with his youngest son Erik. He also enjoyed shopping for and spending time with his seven grandchildren.

Shorty is preceded in death by his Father Glenn Davis, Mother Juantia Davis and Uncle Gerald Davis.

Shorty is survived by his Brothers and Sisters, Glennita Morgan of Chickasha, Darla Belshe of Arcadia, Amy Rodriguez of Countyline, Chris Davis of Loco, Jennifer Bowen of Fountain, Colorado, and Michael Davis of Owasso; Children Coby Davis and wife Penny of Elmore City, Raeanna Thomison and husband Logan of Sulphur, and Erik Davis and wife Kristina of Loco and their mother Lisa Davis; Grandchildren Tristan Glenn and Tucker Landon Cassell Davis of Elmore City; Austynn Renee Duley, Emalee Paige Duley, Logan Erik Scott Thomison and Lilyann Grace Thomison of Sulphur Ok and Aiden William Davis of Loco, Ok.

Memorial Services in celebration of Shorty’s life will be held at the Fountain of Grace Church, Ratliff City OK, on December 23, 2015 at 4:00pm. Arrangements are being handled by his children and family.
