Derrell Jay Fletcher

Graham - Funeral Services for Derrell Jay Fletcher, 50, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, Aug. 5, 2022 at the Milo Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Dean Martin officiating and assisted by Jeff Miller and Jayden Fletcher. Interment will follow at the Graham Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Derrell was born Nov. 22, 1971 at Pauls Valley to Mr. Kenneth Ray Fletcher and Mrs. Johnnie Sue (Kilcrease) Fletcher. He departed this life on Sat. July 30, 2022 at his home in New Castle.

Derrell was raised at Graham as one of six children, attending most of his school at Graham until its closing his Senior year. He then attended his senior year at Fox graduating from Fox High School in 1990. He married the former Krissie Watkins on March 6, 1992 at the Graham Assembly of God Church. To this union they were blessed with three wonderful children, Kaytlin, Morgan and Jayden.

Derrell worked actively in the oilfield all over this area for several local companies, primarily as a welder. He owned and operated his own welding company called Fletcher Welding and Fabrication. Derrell was very competitive in everything he did. He loved basketball and noodling catfish and was a good friend to many. He loved spending time with his friends and family, always cutting up and joking around.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Mr. Thomas Hughie and Mrs. Jossie Fletcher and Mr. John and Mrs. Mary Kilcrease and a nephew Evan King.

Survivors include his daughters, Kaytlin Morrow and husband Garrett of Waco, TX and Morgan Fletcher of Stratford; son, Jayden Fletcher of Graham; grandchildren, Sawyer and Houston Morrow; mother of their children, Krissie Fletcher of Graham; parents, Kenneth and Johnnie Fletcher of Graham; his companion, Kristy Bell and her daughter, Emma Bell of the home; sisters, Kerry Lofton and husband Jon, Kennita King and April Darling and husband Duke, all of Ratliff City; brothers, Ray Fletcher and wife Lois of Lone Grove and Chris Fletcher and wife Stacie of Ratliff City; numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers are Jayden Fletcher, Trent Fletcher, Zac Fletcher, Kendall Fletcher, Weston Needham, Joey Brantley, Dustin Schreibvogel and Chisum Schreibvogel.

Honorary bearers are Jacob Smith, Jeff Miller, Larry Young, Ladon Fletcher, R.D. Eaves, Daylen Brantley, Brandon Brantley and Josh Griffin.
