Derrek Trey Snodgrass

November 27, 1982 — March 25, 2011

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. Derrek Trey Snodgrass, 28, formerly of Ringling, are scheduled for 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle of Ringling with Bro. Jimmy Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery of Ringling. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Derrek was born November 27, 1982 in Ardmore to Mr. Jesse Dale Allen and Ms. Peggy Sue Snodgrass. He went to be with his Heavenly Father Friday evening, March 25, 2011 while he was fishing with his buddies at Coleman, TX.

Derrek was raised at Ringling, graduating from Ringling High School in 2001. He initially attended East Central University in Ada, majoring in general studies before starting his career with Michelin Tire Mfg. of Ardmore. There he had been employed for the last 8 years and was presently part of the Electrical Maintenance department. Derrek married the former Ms. Brook Nicole McCoy on June 19, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle of Ringling by Pastor Jimmy Morris. They were both baptized there just a year earlier of their marriage on June 18, 2008. They lived in Ardmore and had just recently announced that they were expecting a new addition to their family. Derrek was so excited about becoming a Daddy.

Derrek would never tell Brook “no”, just “maybe later”, and always had a wise crack for everyone. He loved to fish and also hunt and enjoyed travelling. He loved watching football, especially the Minnesota Vikings and being with his family.

Preceding him in death are his Great Grandparents, Jim and Lena Snodgrass, Dorris and Mae Mitchell, Orville Allen, Bessie Allen, and Hedge Path Allen.
