Della Sue (Stephens) Henry, of Duncan departed this life on May 26, 2021 in Lawton at the age of 65 years, 0 months, and 29 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Community Fellowhip Church in Ringling with Rev. Jim Grounds officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, OK. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
Della was born on April 27, 1956 in Marietta to the late Mr. Roy Lee Stephens and Mrs. Kathryn (Mack) Stephens.
She grew up in Thackerville and attended school there. After school she married the father of her son Mr. Marion D. Scribner. She then married Mr. Darrell Henry and together they had four more children. They made their home in Oklahoma City, Rogers, AR, Wilson and the settled back in Duncan for the last several years. She worked as telephone operator answering phones for several years and was also a caretaker. Della was a collector of many things. She collected dolls, baseball cards, and most importantly she collected broken people and showed them love when they needed it most. Dellas was a loving mother and one proud grandma. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and would never "Spoil " them she would just say she was loving them. Della was a day dreamer and loved music and singing. She was of the Christian faith.
Della is preceded in death by her parents; infant son Jeremy Daniel Scribner; husband, Darrell Henry; sisters, Pat Smith, Angie Stephens, and Joy White; brothers, William Stephens, Rodney Stephens, Mack Stephens, and Paul Stamps; and granddaughter, Shida Henry.
She is survived by her fiance, Lonnie R. Wolfe of Duncan; son, Darrell Henry and spouse Bessie Kent of Duncan; daughters, Kelly Henry of Duncan, Samantha Henry of Duncan, and Brandy Henry of Duncan; grandchildren, Alexis, Tyler, Hailey, Caitlynn, Darrell Jr, Jayden, Ted, TeeJay, Grace, Ida, Raygen, Miley, Savannha, Kristina, Mercedes, Ariel, Chynna, Sabrya, and Koria; sisters, Joyce Stephens of Marietta and Lavena Eberhart and husband Jody of Marietta; brothers, Jimmy Charles Stephens and wife Tanya of Oklahoma City, Jackie Stephens of Oklahoma City, Roger Stamps and wife Rhonda of Tulsa, and Allen Stephens of Austin, TX; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many other kids and grandchildren she helped raise and called her own.
Serving as casket bearers will be Jimmy Paul "J.P." Eberhart, Joseph Eberhart, Silas Winegeart, Randy Stephens, Kelly Henry, and Donovan Lewis.
Honorary casket bearers will be Carmon Eberhart, Jacob Hancock, Jody Eberhart, George Hendricks, Samantha Henry, and David Hinton.
