Delbert Dee Burton

Ratliff City – Graveside Services for Mr. Delbert Dee Burton, 89, is scheduled for 10: 00 AM Thursday April 22, 2010 at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Hurshel Baker and Eulogy by Rhonda Campbell. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.


Delbert was born Nov. 21, 1920 at the Gaddis Community in Stephens County to the late Mr. Dee Grundy Burton and Mrs. Annie Helen (Dean) Burton. He walked into Heaven Monday April 19, 2010 at his home in Ratliff City.


Delbert was raised in Stephens county and later married the former Vivian B. Dove, Nov. 28, 1938 at Walters. They resided in Stephens County prior to moving to Ratliff City in 1959. Delbert loved to Garden, enjoyed raising cattle and loved to visit. He was a Rancher , Cattleman and Oilman for over 50 years whose handshake was his word. He leaves behind a very loving family who will miss him from now until they all join him.


Preceding him in death is his Parents, Daughter Gerald Dean Kelley in 1961, Son, Delbert Don Burton , 1967 and 1 brother and 2 sisters.


Survivors include his wife Vivian of 71 years of the home, 2 Sons, Connie Dale Burton and wife Sue of Countyline, and Bobby Dale Kelley of Ft. Worth, Daughter, Donna Dec Ragsdale of Oklahoma City, Sisters, Velma McCalister of Duncan, and Doris Milburn of Comanche. Brother, Bob Berry of Seminole, 3 Grandchildren, Jude, Kevin, Rusty, Great Grandchildren, Travis, Madelyn, Emily, Alec, Kara Dean, Courtney Dee and 2 Great Great Grandchildren, Sydni and Cooper. Numerous other relatives and friends.


Casket Bearers will be Grandsons, Jude Burton, Kevin Ragsdale, Rusty Burton, Travis Burton, Alec Street, Mack McClennen and Jack McClennen. Honorary Bearers will be Jack Shores, Bill Simpson, Jim Burton, Jimmy Thompson, and Bob Kelley.


Family visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wed. evening at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
