Lone Grove - Funeral Services for Mrs. Debra Kay (King) Shans, 61, of Lone Grove are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. January 4, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. John Genn officiating. Interment will follow at the Newport Cemetery north of Lone Grove.

Debra was born May 17, 1955 at Ardmore to the late Mr. Billie Charles King, Sr. and Mrs. Dovie Pearl (Stewart) King. She departed this life Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at her home in Lone Grove.

Debra was a native to Lone Grove attending school there, graduating with the class of 1973. She married Mr. Billy Wayne Shans on July 20, 1973 at the Lone Grove Assembly of God Church by Bro. Martin. They attended college, residing at Durant until moving back to Lone Grove in 1979. They were blessed with 2 daughters, Misty and Mandy. Debra worked for AT&T for 25 years retiring in 2007 as a Revenue Manager. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and playing games on her computer. She attended the United Pentecostal Church of Lone Grove.

Preceding her in death were her Grandparents; Parents; brother, Billy Charles King, Jr.- May 19, 2006 and a sister, Teresa Dawn Hayes on July 13, 2015.

Survivors include her husband Billy Wayne Shans of the home; daughters, Misty Waylene Robb of Lone Grove and Amanda Jo Rankin and Phil Alsup of Seattle; brother, George Herman King and wife Debbie Sue of Lone Grove; sister, Tonya Brown and husband Kris of Lone Grove; 2 grandchildren, Kayla Marie Robb and Jakeb Wayne Robb; numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Robert Holley, Marlon Stewart, Charles "Chuck" Stewart, Steven Roberts, Jeremy Brown and Daniel King.

Honorary bearers are her Co-workers at AT&T.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Pentecostal Church Building Fund PO BOX 755 Lone Grove, OK 73443 or Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore 207 C Street NE for their kind felt care and support.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the funeral home in Wilson.
