David "Wildman" Smith

David “Wildman” Smith, of Healdton, departed this life on Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Denton, TX at the age of 65 years, 11 months, and 18 days. Memorial services are scheduled 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton with Bro. Dan Stewart officiating. Memorial services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

David was born on January 20, 1955 in Wilson, OK.

David grew up in the Southern Oklahoma area and attended school at Fox where he graduated with the Class of 1972. He met the love of his life Nicki in 2011 and they were united in marriage on August 19, 2017. David worked for the Star Telegram as a fleet mechanic from 1986 to 2008. In his spare time he could always be found with Donnie and Jeff Slawson tinkering around the shop fixing anything that could be fixed. He enjoyed visiting with his family and would help anyone in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Dean and Vivian Smith; sister, Nancy Jo Smith; nephew Cody Joe Wade and sister-in-law Diane Smith.

He is survived by his wife of the home Nicki Smith of the home in Healdton, OK; 4 sons, Jerry Dean Smith Sr. and wife Chanell of Ardmore, OK; Casey Smith of Weatherford,TX, Stormy Blackwell of Mannsville, OK; Tray and Shawna Blackwell of Ennis, OK; brother, Monty Dean Smith of Wilson,OK, Darrin Smith and his wife Debra of Wylie, TX; sisters, Theresa Cox and her husband Bobby of Ardmore, OK and Carol Glenn Hunter of Norman, OK ; grandchildren, Jerry Jr. Conner, Kaden, Darian, Ace, Layla, Jasper, and Sepheyra; nephews, Derek and Dylan Smith of Wylie, TX; Many other relatives and a host of friends.
