David Ray Harris

Wilson - Mr. David Ray Harris, 63 of Ardmore, OK departed from this life on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in Ardmore, OK. He was born November 7, 1958 in Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Hubert Ray Harris and Mrs. Louise Madelin (Howard) Harris. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. No services are scheduled at this time.

David was raised in Ardmore attending school at Ardmore and Dickson before graduating from Dickson High School in 1977. He married the former Ms. Tammy Bates on October 3, 1984 at Wilson. David worked for Pepsi and Budwiser before he dedicated his working career in auto mechanics. He enjoyed fishing, drag racing, NASCAR and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Michael Austin Harris and sister in law, Anna Lee (Bates) Flynn.

David is survived by his wife, Tammy of the home; son, David Shane Harris and wife Karen of Dickson, daughter, Amanda Wilbourn and husband Rodney of Alaska; grandchildren, Justin, Ryan, Mason, Cyrus and Lillie; great granddaughter, Madilyn; sister, Pamela Elmore of Ardmore; brother and fishing buddy, Billy Bates, Jr. and wife Sarah, sister in law, Tina Gaston of Wilson; and a host of other family and friends.
