Danny Wesley Hull

Ardmore – Funeral Services for Mr. Danny Wesley Hull, 67, of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2010 at the First Christian Church of Ardmore with Elder Hylton Crain officiating, Dr. Don Hull providing the introduction, Elder Allen Daniels providing the Eulogy, and Elder Mark Wattenbarger as the song leader. Interment will follow at Simon Cemetery south of Wilson with Elder Ed Kirkpatrick officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Mr. Danny W. Hull was born August 26, 1942 at Ardmore to the late Mr. John Wesley Hull and Mrs. Ruth Imogene (Smith) Hull. He departed this life Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his residence in Ardmore.

Mr. Hull was raised at Wilson graduating from Rexroat High School in 1960. He attended Murray State College initially and then attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He later earned his Masters Degree from Southeastern Okla. State University and attended Oklahoma University where he received his Superintendents certification.

Mr. Hull was the Principal and Superintendent of Springer Public Schools before he moved to Lone Grove as the Elementary Principal. At Lone Grove he served as the Elementary Principal for a total of 21 years retiring in 2001. He and the former Lucinda (Frazier) Parkerson were united in marriage on June 25, 2001 at Williamsburg, VA. Mr. Hull enjoyed travelling extensively and reading. He also enjoyed storytelling in all the area schools. Other interests included, gun smithing, writing grants for public schools and spending time with his family. He had recently been honored as a Co – Grand Marshall in 2008 for the Toys for Tots parade in Ardmore.

Mr. Hull served as Deacon of the Cornish Primitive Baptist Church of Wilson, conducting services there once a month. He was also a member of the Ardmore Neighborhood Schools Committee and the Carter County Retired Teachers Association.

Preceding him in death is Father John Wesley Hull, May 25, 1992 and Mother, Ruth Imogene Hull, August 9, 2009.

Survivors include his wife Lucinda of the home in Ardmore, Daughters, Melissa Danann Talley and husband Josh of Wilson, Samantha Ann Crook and husband David of Ardmore. Son, Gabriel Shane Hull and wife Brandi of Ardmore. Sisters, Deborah Henderson and husband Lynn of Wilson, and Desiree Shores and Steve Shores of Wilson. Brother, David Hull and wife Kellie of Ardmore. Grandchildren, Alex and Katie Camp, Rebeccah Vernon, Taylor Crook, Tanner Crook, and Tyler Crook, and Syndee Hull, . 1 Step Son, Ragan Parkerson and wife Melisa and their daughter Averly Jai Parkerson all of Guthrie. A host of relatives and friends whom loved him very much.

Casket Bearers will be Ragan Parkerson, Doug Morris, David Cormany, Larry Munholland, Larry Lovelace, and Kevin Stinson.

Honorary Bearers will be the Eight ‘O’ Clock Ponders Breakfast Club and all the members of the Neighborhood School Committee.

Visitation will be held at the First Christian Church of Ardmore, 515 Maxwell St. from 4 to 6 pm Sunday.
