Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. Danny Wayne Stewart, 60, of Lone Grove are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, September 25, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Bro. Ryan Humble officiating and Dennis Hawkins providing the eulogy. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Danny was born August 11, 1955 at Wilson, OK to the late Mr. William “Son” Newton Stewart, Jr. and Mrs. Delores “Blonde” Coleen (Camplain) Stewart. He departed this life Monday September 21, 2015 at his home in Lone Grove.

Danny was raised in Ringling graduating from Ringling High School in 1972. He then attended college at Murray State in Tishomingo before moving to California to work in the Oilfields. Residing at Bakersfield, he worked in the oilfield mainly offshore on drilling platforms. He moved back to this area about 10 years later and remained here the rest of his life working mostly as a carpenter.

Danny married the former Tammy Kay Brooks on June 25, 1996 at Lone Grove. He always had a passion for music and was an excellent songwriter and musician. Danny always enjoyed being with his family and friends. He loved to spending time on the river fishing. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle of Ringling.

Preceding him in death are his Parents; and a son Terry Stewart on August 4, 2010.

Survivors include his wife Tammy of the home; children, Brandon Stewart of Bakersfield, CA, Jennifer Burden and husband Steven of Wilson, Joe Blackwell and wife Aaron of Ringling, Stephen Blackwell and wife Starla of Healdton and Dylan Stewart of Norman; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Geree Thompson and husband A.C. of Grady, Mike Stewart and Matt Stewart, both of Ringling, Cal Stewart and wife Sandie of Idabel, Glenda Hobbs of Plains, TX, Sue Schlitzkus and husband Gilbert of Lake Jackson, TX, Betty Smith and husband Charley of Denison, TX and Billy Stewart and wife Virginia of Lubbock, TX; mother in law, Pat Brooks of Lone Grove; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

Casket Bearers are Tommy Glenn, Charlie Cargile, Joe Blackwell, Stephen Blackwell, Sonny Stewart and Mike Black.

Honorary Bearers are James Shaw, Ace Thompson, Blue Stewart, River Stewart, Jason Stewart and Geary Mac Bailey.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at Alexander Funeral Home funeral of Ringling.
