Ringling- Funeral Services for Mr. Lloyd Dale Faulkner, 80, lifetime resident of Ringling are scheduled for 10 am Friday October 2, 2009 at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery Pavilion with Bill Renfro and Dr. Virgil Trout officiating and Ronnie Harbour providing the eulogy. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.


Dale was born May 5, 1929 at Mountain Home and passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Ardmore. He was the son of the late Mr. Claude Andrew and Mrs. Ada Calista (Skinner) Faulkner, an early pioneer family of Jefferson County. He was born and lived his entire life north of Ringling on the family farm that was the original homestead of his Grandparents, Mr. George and Lorene (Anderson) Faulkner, which had originated as part of Indian Territory over 100 years ago.


Dale graduated from Mountain Home High School before joining the Army and serving his country during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he returned home to Ringling, married the former Ms. Darlene Goode July 14, 1975 Wichita Falls, TX and continued the family ranching business until his death.


He had no children of his own, but shared his life with his many nieces and nephews showing his sense of humor and patience, even when they ran the battery down in his old red mercury on a regular basis.


Preceding him in death is his Parents, brother, Cecil Faulkner, and sister Leona Dodson.


Survivors include his wife Darlene of the home, 3 sisters, Christene Apala, Lavonia Dillard and husband Jerry, and Retha Allen and husband Don all of Ringling, Brother, Earl Faulkner also of Ringling and his many beloved nieces and nephews and his special canine companion, whom he referred to as his Ole Boy, named Hoot.


Casket Bearers are Don Allen, Ty Hammons, Trent Hammons, Mike Faulkner, Randy Crook, Dustin Faulkner, Jerry Gandy, and Ronnie Harbour.


Honorary Bearers are Dink Rose, Lyndal Van Buskirk, Jerry Dillard, Brian McGahey, Vince Freeman, Ken Roberts and all of his coffee drinking buddies.


Family visitation will be Thursday evening 6-8pm at the funeral home in Ringling.
