Dale Clayton Thompson

Healdton - Funeral Services for Mr. Dale Clayton Thompson, Jr., 58 of Ringling, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Alexander Gray Funreal Home Chapel in Healdton with Joe Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow to Thompson Family Cemetery.

Dale was born December 27, 1963 in Ardmore, Ok to the late Mr. Dale Clayton Thompson, Sr. and Shirley Mae (Shankles) Thompson. He departed from this life on Monday, March 28, 2022 at his home in Ringling.

Dale was raised in Dundee as a child and at Fox and Ringling. He graduated from Ringling High School in 1983. He then attended Oklahoma Christian College for a short while before moving back to this area to work in the carpentry industry and the oilfield. Dale married Amanda Renee Croan and they were blessed with three children, Amanda, Candis and Dale Clayton, III. Later he married Sheryl Aycox on May 9, 1994 in Ringling, OK and they were blessed with a son, Jack. He enjoyed watching the news, drinking coffee and smoking marlboro cigarettes, and Dallas Cowboys football. Dale loved to talk and never met a stranger, but most of all, he loved his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Candis Lee; and a sister, Cindy Thompson.

Dale is survived by his wife, Sheryl of the home; children, Amanda Thompson and husband Kenneth Scott; Dale Clayton Thompson, III and wife Kimberly, Jesse Henry, and Jack Thompson and wife Michelle; sisters, Freda Wright and husband David and Betty Haddad and husband Dean; 9 grandchildren, Kandace, Elizabeth, Kolton, Rylee, Brayley, D.C. #4, Lauralie, Gracely, and Tucker.

Pallbearers will be David Wright, David Wayne Wright, Brandon Wright, Joedale Bunch, Hank Gregg, Jr., Derek Gibson, and Jonathan Hocker.
Honorary bearers will be Dean Haddad, Rodney Gaither, Randy Gaither, Randy Weaver, and Don Miller.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.
