Connie Lynn (Hacker) Upton

Wilson – A reception to celebrate the life of Connie Lynn (Hacker) Upton, 64, of Lone Grove is planned for 6:00 PM Friday Jan. 12, 2024, at the Orr Building, in Wilson. Cremation services are under the care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Connie was born on Sept. 22, 1959, at Ardmore to Kenneth Doyle Ray Hacker and the late Evelyn Jane (Holmes) Hacker. She peacefully left this earthly place on Monday, Jan.1, 2024 at her home in Lone Grove.

Connie was raised at Wilson graduating with the Class of 1977 as Salutatorian. She then went on to further her education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University of Durant where she gained her bachelor’s degree in education. Later Connie would obtain her master’s degree of Education in 1987.

She married Bobby Upton, and they made their home in Lone Grove. Connie was a 2nd grade teacher at Lone Grove Elementary for more than 30 years. She loved her profession and treasured all the children. Connie appreciated attending the County Tabernacle Pentecostal Church near Cheek for many years with Bro. Wayne Howard.

Connie’s mother, Jane Hacker preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2013.

Survivors include her husband Bobby Upton of the home; two boys, Bobby, and Casey Horton, both of Ardmore; her father, Kenneth Hacker of Ardmore; brothers, Mike Hacker and wife Stephanie of Plainview and Jeff Hacker and wife Terri of Ardmore; 3 grandchildren and Connie’s canine companion, Buddy of the home; numerous other family and friends.
