Clyde was born September 19, 1938, at Bunkie, LA to the late Mr. Clyde McCoy, Sr. and Mrs. Vergie (Nash) McCoy. He departed this life June 2, 2022, at Plano, TX.
Clyde was born and raised in Louisiana graduating High School from Farmington, NM. He attended college for a few years. Clyde worked as a deputy Sheriff in Madill for a short while then owned and operated a lake country store in Little City, OK before working at Michelin as a supervisor and tire builder. He retired from Michelin in 2001. Clyde married the former Ms. Judy Patrick on May 17, 1986, in Ringling, at the Gospel Tabernacle Church. The couple have had 36 wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with two daughters, Brook and Courtney. Clyde enjoyed checking the cattle every evening with Judy, family dinners, cruises, road trips the family took together, and playing with his grandkids. He loved doing anything and everything for his girls. When Judy would come up with spur of the moment ideas or road trips, Clyde would just shake his head, laugh, and go along with it, never telling her no. Clyde was a devoted husband and father. He had a nickname for his wife, he thoroughly enjoyed calling her "Judy Pootie". When Clyde would enter the room for evening dinner, he would say "what's the hold up?" He was the king of "one liners" and very quick witted. Clyde had a saying, "the others are Koon A**es, I'm the Cajun."
Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Mitzi Best; sister, Susie Lambert; special aunt, Mary Nash.
Survivors include his wife Judy of the home; children, Tim McCoy and wife Melinda of Midwest City, Chad McCoy and wife Vonda of Edmond, Brook Gandy and husband Brock of Ringling, Courtney Justus and husband Ben of Ringling; grandchildren, Corben, Brittney, Taetem, Jackson, Taylor, Jake, Jordan, Trey, Stryker, Carver, and Payton; one great grandchild, Drake; numerous other family and friends.
