Wilson – Funeral Services for Mr. Claude Dwayne “Wayne” Asbery, 58, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Assembly of God Church of Wilson with Rev. Dale Tarp officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Pt. Cemetery in Wilson.

Wayne was born February 27, 1952 at Wilson, OK to the late Mr. Wacker George Asbery and Rita Valerie (Burris) Asbery. He departed this life Wed. morning February 23, 2011 at Ardmore.

Wayne was raised in Wilson attending school there. He lived all of his life at Wilson and enjoyed breaking horses and visiting with his friends. He was a very talented musician, loving to play and sing gospel and country music.

He and the former Ms. Patsy G. Scroggins were united in marriage April 8, 1986 at the Wilson Assembly of God Church. They always made their home in Wilson. Wayne loved attending church and also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and collecting arrowheads. He was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation and of the Wilson Assembly of God Church.

Preceding him in death is his Father; Sister, Jackie Elaine Asbery - July 1952, and Brother, Roy Lynn Asbery in 1979.

Survivors include his loving wife Patsy of the home; 3 Sons, Michael and wife Brittney of Healdton, James of Healdton, and Lesley of Wilson. Sisters, Shay of Ardmore, Marie of Lone Grove and Darlene of Ardmore; 7 Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Ricky Asbery, Billy Asbery, James Asbery, Michael Asbery, Lesley Asbery and Gary Lynn Mason.

Honorary Bearers will the Men of the Wilson Assembly of God Church.
