Clara Faye (Lewellen) Norton

Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Clara Faye Norton, 83, of Wilson are scheduled for 10:30 am Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Wilson Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dale Tarp officiating. Burial will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Clara was born August 25, 1926 at Wilson to the late Mr. David Melton “Mitt” Lewellen and Mrs. Essie Anna (Giles) Lewellen. She departed this life Tuesday August10, 2010 at Wilson.

Clara was a lifelong resident of Wilson. She married the late Mr. Thomas Denham Norton May 27, 1944 at Wilson. She was a very devoted homemaker and true Christian always having a sincere love for everyone she knew. She loved to fish and enjoyed working puzzles. She was a longtime member of the Wilson Assembly of God Church.

Preceding her in death is her Husband, Denham Norton, Feb. 11, 1986, Mother, Essie and Father Mitt, Sister, Valera McNeme and Brother, Virgil Lewellen.

Survivors include her one son Bobby Wayne Norton and wife Vera of Wilson, Sister, LaVerne Camp of West Covina, CA, Grandson, Bobby Dawl Norton of Noble, Granddaughters Holly Chronister and husband John of Noble, and Dani Norton of Lone Grove. Two Great Granddaughters, Amber Caldwell of Battle Ground, WA, and Rachel Chronister of Noble. Numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Danny Steele, Gary “Hoss” Snow, Royce Sanders, and John Chronister.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jackie Brown, A.C. Overby, and Tommy Pickens.
