Christie Dawn “Doodle” (Wright) Hale, of Mansfield, TX departed this life on Monday July 31, 2023 at Alliance Hospital of Durant at the age of 54 years, 0 months, and 8 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 5, 2023 at New Life Assembly in Healdton with Rev. John Harris and Pastor Tony Canady officiating. Interment will be follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery of Healdton. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.
Christie was born on July 23, 1969 in Ardmore to Mr. Maxie “Max” Lynn Wright and Mrs. Mary Veda Fay “Hurt” Wright.
Christie was raised in Healdton and attended Healdton Public Schools. She graduated with the Healdton High School Class of 1987. After high school Christie married and started her family with her first-born child Michael Derrick. She then had her second child Cassedy Kyanne. Christie and David Ray Hale were united in marriage on May 6, 2000 and to this union they completed their family with two more children Caden Bailey and Kennedy Madison. Christie went back to college in 2011 and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Business at the University of Arlington. She then began teaching 6th grade social studies and was a truly devoted educator and enjoyed making a difference in the lives of young children. Christie loved people and could brighten up a room and make people laugh. She loved to travel to scrapbooking retreats with Kim Edwards. Christie always enjoyed Christmas and family reunions. She always made everything more fun. Christie was an avid music lover and was a devoted fan of Prince, especially “Purple Rain”. She was raised Assembly of God but later was a member of the Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Christie always liked to make sure her parents and husband were minding her instructions and she would sit back and watch. She was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association.
Christie is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Claude and Christine Wright; maternal grandparents, Lowell (Poodike)Florence Hurt and Jacky Glenn; paternal uncles Doug Cole and Butch Wright; paternal aunt Peggy Lindesmith and grandchild, Max Forrest Heirston.
She is survived by her husband, David Ray Hale of the home in Mansfield, TX; children, Michael Derrick Heirston and wife Ashley Racen of Gladstone, MO; Cassedy Kyanne Hale and financé Skyler Stroud of Cleburne, TX, Caden Bailey Hale of Gladstone, MO, Kennedy Madison Hale of Mansfield, TX; parents, Max and Veda Fay Wright of Kingston; sister, Kim Edwards of Healdton and Carol Wright of Edmond; grandchildren, Jace Westin Hale, Lilly Mae Stroud, Serenity Hart Heirston and Landyn Douglas Stroud; uncles and aunts and their children, Charlotte Wright, Marsha Cole, Troy and Brenda Wright and Ronny and Ruby Wright; her second parents, Richard and Bonnie Marrs of Healdton; other family, Kelly and Kasey Marrs of Owasso, AJ Edwards of Healdton; Bethani Ross and Avery Hoggard of Watonga; Allan and Elizabeth Ross of Cache, Cody Wright of Ada, Izabel Wright, Sammy Wright, and Kammi Raines of Edmond; Samuel Edwards and Jessica of Wilson; Stevee Horton and Sara Sloan of Mansfield, TX; Rosie and Sasha of Kingston; father and mother in-love, Charles and Janet Hale of Arlington, TX; Forrest Lee and Phyllis of Oil City; Debbie Glenn of Healdton; brother and sister in-love’s and their children; Michael and Victoria Hale (Kate, Sarah, and Grace) of Midlothian, TX, Brian and Shelly Hale (Jordan, John, and Trinity) of Arlington, TX; Glenn and Stephanie Coffey (Peyton, Gunnar) of Arlington, TX.
Serving as Casket Bearers will be Derrick Heirston, Caden Hale, Allan Ross, Peyton Coffey, Cody Wright, Sammy Wright, Kelly Farmer, John Hale and Michael Schofield.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Healdton High School Class of 1987, Kasey Marrs, and Jordan Vass.
