Chester Lee Horton

Ratliff City - Funeral Services for Mr. Chester Lee Horton, 79 of Ratliff City, are scheduled for 1:00pm Wed. January 6, 2016 at The Fountain of Grace Church of Ratliff City with Bro. George Witter officiating and Bro. Paul Hale assisting. Interment will follow at the Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Chester was born February 8, 1936 at Hennepin to the late Mr. Paul Horton and Mrs. Willie May (Sam) Horton. He departed this life Saturday, January 2, 2016 at his home in Ratliff City.

Chester was raised at Hennepin attending school there until the 8th grade and then finished his education at Woodland. He and the former Ms. Mary Cleave Barnes were united in marriage on March 24, 1955 at Gainesville, TX. They settled in Ratliff City where they have remained their lives together.

Chester owned and operated his own Hot Oiler trucks for 40 years in the Ratliff City area. He always enjoyed working and being outside whether it was riding a tractor plowing or feeding his cows and chickens. He also enjoyed operating his own Oil lease and fishing . Chester was always busy doing something his entire adult life.

Preceding him in death were his Parents and a brother, L.P. Horton.

Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; daughter, Jaquita Graham and husband Tim of Countyline, son, Charles Horton, SR. and wife Kari of Healdton, daughter, Rachelle Miller and husband Cody of Lone Grove and son, Johnny Horton and wife Tonya of Oklahoma City; sister Naomi Downey and husband Herman of Ratliff City; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Colby Horton, Roger Graham, Charles Horton, JR., David Graham, Chaz Horton, Ryan Miller, Cale Horton and Kyle Pitman.

Honorary Bearers are Cody Miller, Tim Graham, David Casey, Jim Wingo, Herman Downey, Mike Barnes and Coltyn Horton.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
