Charles Lee Lamb

February 2, 1932 — May 17, 2015

Wilson – Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Lee Lamb, 83, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. May 20, 2015 at the Ash Street Church of Christ with Jeff Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery of Ardmore. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Charles was born February 9, 1932 at Dillard to the late Mr. Coy Lee Lamb and Mrs. Ruby Lillian (Huddleston) Lamb. He departed this life Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Mercy hospital of Healdton.

Charles was raised at Wilson and Dillard area graduating from Wilson High School in 1950. After graduation, Charles began working for Westheimer-Neustadt as a truckdriver and doing roustabout work. He retired in 1983 and enjoyed building miniature rigs and oilfield equipment that actually functioned. He and his father, Coy worked together on these projects. They have been donated to the Historical Museum in Ardmore and are on display for everyone to enjoy.

Charles also served as a member of the Hewitt and Bomar Point Cemetery Association for many years. He always enjoyed working in his yard and enjoyed helping others by volunteering his time. He was a member of the Ash Street Church of Christ of Wilson.

Preceding him in death is his Parents and a brother Kenneth Lamb.

Survivors include his loving sister, Donna Crabb and her husband Doug of Oklahoma City; sister in law, Rita Lamb of Ardmore; nieces, Cindy Drummond and husband Gary of Oklahoma City, and Laura Atchley and husband David of Springer; nephews, Douglas W. Crabb and wife Sheila of Kearney, MO and Larry Lamb and wife Kim of Watuaga, TX; several great nieces and great nephews and a host of church family and friends.

Casket bearers will be the members of the Hewitt and Bomar Point Cemetery Association.
