Charles Jimmy Wade

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Jimmy Wade, 77 of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Gospel Tabernacle Church of Jesus Christ with Jimmy Morris officiating and Brent Wade assisting. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.

Charles was born in Ringling on September 5, 1940, to the late Mr. Arvie “Otto” Wade and Mrs. Rebecca “Allene” (Daniel) Wade. He passed from this life on Friday, December 8, 2017, in Oklahoma City.

Charles was raised in Claypool, Okla., where he attended grade school. He then moved to Byers, Texas, graduating high school in 1959. After graduation, he moved to Ringling where he worked for The Deep Rock Station. Charles married Lana Jean Jackson on December 21, 1962 in Ringling where they made their home. They were blessed with 2 children, Jimmy and Kimberly. Charles started Cattle Ranching together with Lana training team roping horses. He was a world champion senior team roper for USTRC in Oklahoma City. Charles went on to train many more team roping horses that went to the NFR. He truly loved working his cattle the most. Charles enjoyed his children, grandchildren, coffee shop time and western movies. He followed the Wade family tradition of 50 plus years of marriage with the Guinness World Book of Records with his wife Lana.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his brother, Billy Don Wade.

Survivors include his wife Lana of the home; son, Jimmy Loyd Wade and wife Tonya of Hendricx, OK; daughter, Kimberly Jean (Wade) Weder and husband Tod of Ardmore; brothers, Sherrell Wade and wife Dean and Corky Wade and wife Judy both of Byers, TX; grandsons, Jory Wade and wife Sarah, Jerrad Lewis and wife Chelcee, Tyler Wade and Jesse Lewis; granddaughters, Lacrisha Lewis and fiancé Josh Gerner and Lacee (Lewis) Claxton and husband Keller; 11 great grandchildren and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jerrad Lewis, Jesse Lewis, Keller Claxton, Jory Wade, Tyler Wade and Dale Riley.

Honorary bearers will be Larry Snell, Bob Earl Stewart, Joe McClesky, Jerry Dillard, Jr. Ogle, Jerry Lynn Wade, Ronnie Austin, Andre Pruitt, Jerry Bob Daniels, Brent Wade and the Coffee Shop Boys.

A family visitation is scheduled for Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.
