Charles "Hambone" Edward Gilbert

Leon - Private Family Graveside Services for Mr. Charles "Hambone" Edward Gilbert will be at Leon Cemetery with Rev. Bill Black officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Hambone was born April 27, 1953 in Leon, OK to the late Mr. William Delbert Gilbert and Mrs. Edna Margaret (Miller) Gilbert. He departed from this life on March 25, 2020 in Oklahoma City.

Hambone was raised in Leon, graduating from Turner High School and attended Murray State College. He owned and operated Charlie's Backhoe Service. Hambone enjoyed hanging out with friends, working on equipment and just being with his granddaughter.

Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Tammy Gilbert; and brothers, Ernest and Darryl Gilbert.

Hambone is survived by his granddaughter, Lexie Gilbert; nephew, Dallas Gilbert and wife Echo; brother, Johnny Gilbert; sister, Debbie Gilbert Caviner and husband Jeff; very special friends, Brad Solley and wife Jessica and Jody Duvak and wife Leah; and a host of other family and friends.
