Charles Edward Corsaut

June 12, 1924 — February 20, 2014

Wilson- A Celebration of Life for Mr. Charles Edward Corsaut, 89, of Kingston is scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2014 at Texoma Southern Baptist Church of Buncombe, OK. with Grandson Colby Corsaut and Rev. Keith Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson, OK. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.


Chock was born June 12, 1924 to Mr. Royce Henry Corsaut and Myrtie Mae (Forbes) Corsaut at Olive, OK. He passed from this life Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.


Chock was raised in Snomac, OK. attending school at Wolf. He left home at 16 and was employed on a farm in Kansas before joining the U.S. Navy in 1941. Chock served on the USS Clark as a Gunners Mate during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. He soon after married the former Ms. Johnnie Versal Meloy on April 3, 1946 at Snowmac. They moved to Wilson in 1960. Chock worked in the oilfield running rigs and driving trucks. After retiring he moved to the community of Enos in 1985 at Lake Texoma and had resided there since.



In addition to his Wife, Johnnie Versal (Meloy) Corsaut who preceded him on June 19, 2004 he is also preceded in death by his Parents, Royce and Myrtie Corsaut , Daughter, Judy Williford, Son, Rickey Corsaut and Brothers, J.C. , Warren and John Corsaut.


He is survived by his daughter, Gearldine Hodges and husband Hartford of Kingston, OK. ; Son, Mike Corsaut and wife Yvonne of Oklahoma City, OK. ; Brother Joel Ralph Corsaut and wife Claudia of Salem, OR.; Sisters, Loretta Finney of Shelbyville, IL., Helen Killen of Yukon, OK.,Susie “Edna Mae” Gillham and husband Manuel of Atoka, OK., Mary Lou Hamby and husband W.G. of Midwest City, OK. and Leona Case and husband Pete of Everette, WA; Grandchildren Craig and wife Sue, Charlie and wife JoAnna, Clayton and wife Shannon, Melissa and husband Brett, Colby and wife Whitney, Sabrina, Megan, and Mike, Jr. Great Grandchildren Victoria, Merek, Noah, Demetria, Alexandria, Rylan, Amery, Jaden, Jordyn, Jacoby, Malachi, Deacon, Humberto, Rudy and Joshua. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of good friends.


Pallbearers will be Craig Hodges, Charlie Hodges, Clayton Hodges, Don Meloy, Bob Woolery and David Greer.


Visitation and viewing will be Sunday, February 23 2014 at the Texoma Southern Baptist Church at Buncombe Creek from 3:00-5:00 PM.
