Services for Charles “Chuck” Wayne Greenroyd, II, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Bro. Arvy Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Chuck was born September 3, 1968, at Waurika, OK, to the late Mr. Charles “Chock” Wayne Greenroyd and Mrs. Imogene (Taylor) Greenroyd. He departed this life peacefully Saturday, March 15, 2025 at his home in Wilson, with his loving wife by his side.
Chuck graduated from Wilson High School, proudly representing the class of 1987. His journey in life led him to work on a pipeline in Missouri for several years before returning to his hometown, where he dedicated himself to the oilfield industry. Throughout his career, Chuck worked diligently for notable companies such as Jones Drilling, Forsythe Oilfield Service, and Sutherland Well Services. His professional life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with cancer, a challenge he faced with remarkable courage and resilience. Despite the toll of illness, Chuck never wavered in his passion for life. He was known for his exceptional gardening skills, which not only provided beautiful blooms but also a bounty of fresh produce. Chuck enjoyed the freedom of the open road, riding motorcycles, and keeping the streets hot, driving the town, creating lasting memories with his beloved wife, Johnna, and their puppy, Cricket. He found joy in playing pool and had a reputation for always keeping busy, whether it was mowing the lawn or working on projects around the house.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents; parents, Chock and Imogene; mother-in-law, Mary Wyatt; Uncle and Aunt, Barry and Lana Hill; Uncle, Jerry Hanson; cousin, Benji Taylor.
Survivors include his loving wife Johnna and fur baby Cricket of the home; children, Maribeth Ramsey and husband Steven of Ardmore, Becky Everett and husband Thomas of Lone Grove, Stephanie Butcher of Wilson, and Chase of Wichita Falls, TX; bonus child, Amber Brundage of Wilson; grandchildren, Aliyah Fielding, Kaymon Ramsey, Brooklyn Butcher, Patrick Weaver, Wesley Butcher, Nevaeh Raymond, Roscoe Raymond, Zatanna Brundage; nieces and nephews, Heather McCullough, Chance Lincoln and wife Alice, Con Nipp, Mikayla Vernon and husband Caleb; sisters, Gena Turley and Melissa Nipp; special aunt that has always been there for Chuck and Johnna, Sherry (Greenroyd) Hanson; Chuck's special buddy from church, Cain; the other woman in his life, Anita Skelton; numerous other family and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Wyatt, Braden Wyatt, Marcus Wyatt, Roscoe Raymond, Frank Schaaf, Kaden Henry, Patrick Weaver, Steven Ramsey, Kaymon Ramsey, Thomas Everett, and Robbie Greenroyd.
Honorary bearers are Jonathan Mutziger, Jessie Howell, Jearl Greenroyd, Wesley Butcher, Nevaeh Raymond, Clayton Mutziger, Jared Hanson, Aliyah Fielding, Wilson 10U Baseball boys of 2024, and Senior Citizen Members.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Thursday evening at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
