Char Marie Kilcrease

Services for Char Marie (Garrison) Kilcrease, 44, of Velma, are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Velma Baptist Church with Rev. Kerry Glasgow officiating. Interment will follow at the New Velma Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Velma.

Char was born April 7, 1978, at Nocona, TX, to Mr. Kenneth Michael Garrison and Mrs. Vicki Jo (Blackwell) Garrison. She departed this life Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Char was raised in Nocona moving to Velma around 1989 where she attended school, graduating High School with the class of 1996. She made her home in Velma where she raised her two sons, Cade and Colby. She loved attending all their sporting events and being their number one fan. She enjoyed her previous job at Speedy G’s as it kept her close to her family, friends, and all of the community. Char was currently employed by Sanner Pipe and Salvage.  She especially loved spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, and many other activities she could enjoy with those close to her.

Preceding her in death are her grandparents, T.V. and Elmarie Blackwell; grandpa, Ken Garrison; Uncles, Eddie Blackwell and Bennett Scott.

She is survived by her parents, Ken and Vicki Garrison of Stillwell, OK; two sons, Cade Kilcrease and Colby Kilcrease both of Velma; brother, Todd Garrison and wife Amy of Dallas, TX; grandmother, Mary Garrison; significant other, Pat Norton of the home; niece, Megan Stembridge and husband Antar of Phoenix, AZ; nephew, Cooper Garrison of Clovis, NM; numerous other family and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Sanner, Larry Sanner, Donald Collins, Dallen Mercer, Trenton Wright, and Dylan Hurst.

Honorary bearers are Lane Jones and Wyndal Cowan.

Family visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Velma.
