Carolyn Sue (Cormany) Thompson

Wilson -Services for Mrs. Carolyn Sue (Cormany) Thompson, 83, of Wilson, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Bro. Jim Duck officiating. Interment will follow to Hewitt Cemetery.

Carolyn was born Dec. 24, 1939 at Oklahoma City to the late Mr. George Wesley Cormany and Mrs. Nanny Corene (Slawson) Cormany. She departed from this life on Sunday Nov. 12, 2023 at a healthcare facility in Oklahoma City. 

Carolyn was raised near the east side of Healdton Lake attending school at Rexroat. Afterwards, she resided at Willis, OK for several years working within her home as a young mother and devoted housewife where she loved being a mother and grandmother. Carolyn moved to Ardmore where she was employed at Stromberg Carlson. Later she moved to Arkansas where she worked for Franklin Electric. She worked many years as a caregiver in Oklahoma City and moved back to this area in the early 90’s and was employed at Braums until her retirement. Carolyn loved to crochet Afghans, being with her family and sitting on her back porch watching the wildlife at her home. She loved God and was a past member of the River of Life Church.  Carolyn was a loving and kind person who lived a wonderful life.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Donald Thompson; infant son, James Otis Bridgeman; brothers, Charles, Wayne and Dave Cormany; granddaughter, Kylie Kaye Bridgeman; great grandchildren, Bradley, Wesley, and Brynlee Renee Bridgeman.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Johnny Bridgeman and wife Lorie of Thomas, and Vernon Bridgeman of Wilson; sister, Pat Weatherly of Wilson; sister in law, Cindy Cormany of Wilson; grandchildren, Clifton Bridgeman and wife Stephanie, Chelsie Mavity and husband Glen, Clint Bridgeman and wife Lauren and Anna Chantae Smith and husband Blake; great grandchildren, Benton, Bella, Kylie, Hadley, Vince, Peri, Lyla, Thea, and Addi; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ron Cormany, Gus Ashley, Dustin Cormany, Clayton Cormany, Randal Cormany, and Casey Cantrell. Honorary bearers will be Clint Bridgeman, Clifton Bridgeman, and Blake Smith.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
