Carolyn Ann Presgrove

Velma - Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn Ann Presgrove, 69, of Velma are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Velma with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the New Velma Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Carolyn Ann Presgrove was born on November 3, 1946 at Wasco California to the late Mr. Jack Majors and Mrs. Doris Marie (Scott) Chatham. She departed this life Wednesday morning, April 6, 2016 at Duncan Regional Hospital.

Carolyn moved to Oklahoma with her family in 1954. She attended Pooleville School until the fourth grade and then moved to Fox Public Schools where she later graduated in 1964. Carolyn married Mr. Dennis Davis in June of 1966 and resided in Velma where they raised their children Jackie Davis and Shannah (Davis) Ray. Later in life Carolyn married Hank Presgrove on April 7, 1981 at Deville, LA and they were blessed with a daughter, Lacey (Presgrove) Cowger. She loved going to Rodeos and watching her grandsons, Cody and Tyler Ray rope. Carolyn loved going to casinos to gamble. She loved her family deeply and she will forever be missed by many.

Preceding her in death are her father, Jack Majors; sister, Peggy (Majors) Scifres.

Survivors include her mother, Doris Chatham of Velma; her husband, Hank Presgrove of the home; children, Jackie Davis and wife Kelly of Velma, Shannah (Davis) Ray of Duncan, Lacey Cowger and husband Justin of Ada; step children, Doug Presgrove and wife Claudia of Purcell, Dayna Stephens and husband David of Ardmore; brother, Ed Majors and wife Peggy of Tulsa; grandchildren, Tracie, Danielle, Deena, Chelse, Amanda, Cody, Tyler, Brooklyn, Gunner; step grandchildren, Cory, Taylor, Shaylee, Doug, Abby; great great grandchildren, Addison, Blaiden, Caseley, Damon; numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Greg Majors, Billy Wright, Rusty Wright, Cody Ray, Tyler Ray, and Justin Cowger.

Honorary bearers are Raymond Rice, Bill Strickland, Gary Presgrove, and Gunner Cowger.

Family visitation will be held from 6-8pm Friday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
