Wilson – Memorial Graveside Services for Mr. James Carl Jackson, 84, of Wilson is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Keller Cemetery north of Wilson with Rev. Virgil Ridenhour officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Wilson.
Carl was born August 9, 1927 at Ardmore to the late Mr. John M. Jackson and Mrs. Jewell (James) Jackson. He departed this life Friday, April 27, 2012 at Ardmore.
Carl was raised in the Dickson area attending school there. He joined the United States Army in 1945 and served honorably for 2 years as a Rifleman. He then attended vocational school at Okmulgee studying diesel mechanics. Carl worked all of his working years in the Oilfield, mostly as a Welder.
He and the former Juanita Ruth Apala were united in marriage on September 22, 1970 at Ardmore. They resided in Durant for 30 years, before moving west of Wilson in 2002. They attended church at the Gospel Tabernacle of Ringling. Carl enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceding him in death are his Parents; Wife – Juanita, August 22, 2004; Grandson, John Brandon Jackson; Sisters, Betty Carlton and Maxine Cox; Brothers, John, Joe, Dave and Wayne.
Survivors include his Daughter, Carla Hutchings of Oklahoma City; Sons, Johnny Jackson and wife Pam of Ardmore and Kenneth Jackson and wife Jana also of Ardmore; Brother, Paul Jackson and wife Edna OF Coffeyville, KS; Sister, Mary Fay McDonald and husband Richard of Bartlesville; 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Numerous other family and friends.
