Calvin Tilford Wade

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mr. Calvin Tilford "Jake" Wade, 93 of Ringling are scheduled for 4:00 PM Sunday June 18, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle with Grandson son in law James Riggs and Jimmy Morris officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Jake was born Dec. 24, 1923 at Centerpoint to the late Mr. Charles Chesley Wade and Mrs. Ara Alice (Hawkins) Wade. He departed this life on Thursday, June 15, 2017.

Jake was raised south of Ringling near Centerpoint. He married the former Ms. Donna Novella "Toppy" Patrick on Feb. 7, 1947 at Petrolia, TX. They made their home in Ringling moving to their current residence in 1955 and they were blessed with 69 years of marriage. Toppy preceded him in death on August 18, 2016.

As a young man Jake worked at the Healdton Oil Co. for 6 years before co owning and operating the Deep Rock Station of Ringling for 20 years. Jake always enjoyed farming and ranching and also enjoyed fishing, hunting and telling stories.

Survivors include his daughter, Mollye Henley and husband Jim of Perry; sons, Calvin J. Wade and wife Nita and Allen Wade and wife Linda, all of Ringling; sisters, Ella Morris and Ollie Patrick and husband Junior and brother in law, Don Patrick, all of Ringling; sister in law Katherine Wade of Texas; grandchildren, Brent Wade and wife Angela, Brad Wade and wife Annie, Brandon Wade and wife Amy, Trina Martin and husband Chad, Laura McDonald and husband Michael, Karla Pickens and husband Destre, Clinton Henley and wife Bailey, Jill Daft and husband Cody and Allison Riggs and husband James; 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Preceding him in death were his Parents; wife, Toppy; brothers, Ozeal, Chesley, Melvin, Orb, L.V., and Otto Wade; sisters, Beatrice Wade, Thelma Pemberton, Beulah Hammons, Alpha Morris and Drue Patrick.

Casket Bearers are Brent Wade, Brad Wade, Brandon Wade, Chad Martin, Michael McDonald, Destre Pickens, Clinton Henley and Cody Daft.

Family visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
