Brenda Kay Perkins Gordon

Countyline- Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Kay Gordon, 53, of Countyline, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday December 23, 2008 at the Countyline First Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Staggs and Rev. Pete Wylie officiating. Burial will follow at Alma Cemetery in Alma. Services are entrusted to the care of Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Brenda was born December 30, 1954 at Houston, TX to the late Mr. Elzie Thomas and Mrs. Annie Delores (Kidwell) Briscoe. She departed this life Saturday December 20, 2008 at Duncan, OK.

Brenda was raised at Countyline graduating from High School at Pernell. She worked most of her working years as a Grocery Clerk and owner of Brenda’s Grocery in Countyline. She and Mr. Jerry Wayne Gordon, Sr. were united in marriage October 31, 2005 at Ratliff City. Brenda loved to visiting with everyone she came in contact with. She also had a love and adoration for Elvis Presley and his music. She always enjoyed listening to music and attending church at the Freewill Baptist Church in Countyline where she had been a longtime member.

Brenda is preceded in death by her Parents, and 2 nephews, Troy Dunn and D.J. Jensen.

Survivors include her Husband Jerry of Countyline, 2 Daughters, Shelley Perkins of Healdton, and Kelly Perkins of Ardmore. Son, Jerry Wayne Gordon, Jr. and wife Jeri of Healdton. 3 Sisters, Delores Jensen and husband Gene of Velma, Louranna Cox and husband Ray of Ratliff City, and Billie Battles of Lone Grove. Brother, Tommy Briscoe and wife Donna of Velma. 6 Grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Gordon, Todd Dunn, Tommy Downey, Chris Battles, Kevin Dunn, Doug Jensen, Matthew Briscoe, Michael Briscoe and Jeremy Jensen.

Honorary Bearers will be John Norton, David Hardin, Vern Evans and David Ponder.

Family Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-7p.m. at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
