Wilson - The family of Bonnie Ruth (Hurley) Baker, 95, of Reck, invites you to join them in celebrating her life. Funeral services will be held 11:00 on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, with J.D. Scifres officiating. Interment will take place at the Bomar Point Cemetery following the service.
Bonnie was born on December 12, 1928, in Ardmore, to the late Rev. Luther E. Hurley and Vivian E. (Wendling) Hurley. She peacefully passed away on the evening of November 21, 2024.
Throughout her life, Bonnie was known for her vibrant spirit, warm personality, and delightful sense of humor. She had a passion for crocheting and reading, and she cherished her time outdoors, often enjoying daily walks while collecting rocks and observing the beauty of nature. Bonnie's family brought her immense joy, particularly her numerous grandchildren, and she maintained close relationships with her classmates from Zaneis High School. A devout Christian, she was proud to be an active member of the Zaneis Baptist Church.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her beloved son, Ronnie Reese, as well as siblings Leroy Hurley, Betty Sue Bartlett, Joyce Hurley, and Bobbie Bracken.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita Bagley, Gayle Zeigler, and Peggy Parnell; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
