Ringling - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Bob Earl Stewart, age 82, of Ringling, who departed from this life on December 2, 2024, in Norman, Oklahoma. A beloved husband, father, and friend, Bob Earl's life will be celebrated with a funeral service 2:00 P.M. on Friday December 6, 2024, at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery Pavilion, officiated by Les Bussell. The arrangements are handled with care by Alexander ~ Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
Bob Earl was born on September 3, 1942, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the late Jack Byren Stewart and Peggy Lou (Turner) Stewart. He grew up in a nurturing environment in Claypool, where he graduated from Ringling High School in 1960. Bob Earl furthered his education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree that significantly impacted his career.
He dedicated several years as a Teacher and Coach in Ryan before pursuing his true passion as a Pecan Wrangler and Rancher, a dream he cherished deeply. Bob Earl shared a wonderful life with his wife, Renell, and together they created countless cherished memories. He was known for his adventurous spirit, which shone through his hunting trips with his dear friend Lyndal and his legendary skills in "grabbling" fish, making him a beloved figure among family and friends.
Bob Earl is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Bob Jennings, sister Patricia Kay Jones, brother Larry Don Stewart. Also, a very special uncle & aunt, Don Mike and Betty Roland Turner.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his cherished wife Renell Stewart of the home; daughter Stephanie Rich of Weatherford, Texas; son Creed Stewart and wife Angelica of Owasso, Oklahoma; and stepsons Heath Longest of Ringling and Derek Longest of Ardmore. He was a proud grandfather to Levi Rich and wife Emily, Connor Longest, Rylee Longest, Jake Stewart, and Tristan Stewart, and served as a devoted father figure to his bonus daughters, Kaci Ferguson and Kylie Gandy. Bob Earl is also fondly remembered by countless other family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Pallbearers entrusted with carrying his memory forward include Lyndal Van Buskirk, Mike Stewart, Charlie Lockwood, Colby Van Buskirk, Cole Lockwood, and Trevor Richardson.
Honorary bearers include Biff Jackson, Gary Carter, Johnny Bogle, Gene Griffin, Roy Neil, Eric Taliaferro, Wayne Brown, Sherle Lockwood, Allen Wade, Bill Tipps, Dustin Faulkner, Bobby Richardson, Tanner Richardson, and Tracy Gandy.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
