Bob Lee Russell

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Bob Lee Russell, 92, formerly of Rubottom, are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, July 23, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Isaac Farnsworth officiating. Interment will follow at the Leon Cemetery. Services are under the care and directions of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Bob was born Nov. 30, 1925 at Rubottom to the late Mr. John Calvin Russell and Martha Prilla (Black) Russell. He departed this life Tuesday July 17, 2018 at a Nursing Home facility in Chickasha.

Bob was raised at Rubottom attending school at Courtney. He and the former Wanda (Black) McKinnon were united in marriage on August 6, 1955 at Jacksboro, Texas. Wanda brought with her into this marriage her six children, Peggy, Rick, Laquita, Frances, Marvin and Eldridge. Bob and Wanda added two more children, Donald and Ranee', to this family. Bob was employed in the oilfield in several states before they moved to Dover in 1975.

Wanda preceded him in death on September 19th of 2013. Bob loved his family especially his grandkids and great grand kids. He enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing and attending the Senior Citizens center. Bob was a former member of the Victory Baptist Church of Dover and the Calvary Baptist Church of Cordell.

In addition to his wife Wanda also preceding him in death were his Parents; children, Peggy, Rick, Frances, Eldridge and Marvin; brothers, Willie Russell and Calvin Russell; sisters, Lorena Russell Auld and Gertie Russell Davis; infant grandson, Bradley Green; other grandchildren, Rick Singleton, Mike McKinnon, Jason McKinnon and Paula Perry.

Survivors include his children; Donald Russell and wife Sally of Dover; Ranee Green and husband Randy of Chickasha and Laquita Woodell of Casper, WY; 13 grandchildren and numerous other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.

Casket Bearers will be the grandchildren.

Family Visitation will be held from 4pm to 6 pm Sunday afternoon at the Funeral Home in Wilson.
