Billy "Bill" M. Ritter, born on July 31, 1939, in Loco, Oklahoma, to the late William "Bill" Ritter and Reba Ritter, passed away on December 23, 2024, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Bill was raised in Loco and Ringling and completed his education at Mountain Home, graduating from Ringling High School. On September 9, 1961, he married Patricia "Pat" Pemberton in Healdton, Oklahoma. After a fulfilling career, Bill retired in 2008 and realized a cherished dream by opening Mudcreek BBQ with his wife, Pat. He found great joy in participating in BBQ competitions, showcasing his passion for the craft.
A gifted storyteller, Bill had a unique ability to weave humor and warmth into the narratives of his life experiences. His greatest joy, however, came from the time spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Pat; his children, Tracy Ritter, Brad Ritter, and Brian Ritter, along with his daughter-in-law Andrea; four grandchildren, Casey Ritter, Erin Jones and her husband Josh, Mitchell Ritter and his wife Kenzie, and Jacob Ritter and his wife Kelsea; and one great-granddaughter, Lynora Jones. He also leaves behind his sisters, Pat Chamberlin and her husband Bud, and Jacky Harrison, along with numerous family members and friends who will continue to cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life for Bill is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., at Bill's favorite spot, Mudcreek BBQ on Saturday, January 4, 2024.
