Billy Ray Sullivan

Mr. Billy Ray Sullivan, of Wilson, departed this life on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Wichita Falls, TX at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 24 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Roy Eaves officiating. Interment will follow in the Bomar Point Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Billy was born on December 2, 1935 in Rexroat to the late Mr. Melvin Sullivan and Mrs. Sylvia (Bradford) Sullivan.

Mr. Sullivan was raised in Wilson and attended Wilson Schools graduating with the class of 1955. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country. Billy loved raising horses and rabbits. At one time he was a jockey and had been a bullrider in his earlier years. Mr. Sullivan worked for Uniroyal for over 22 years in maintenance. Billy was a talented musician and could play anything with strings. He also enjoyed fishing and coon hunting.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kelly Sullivan on June 16, 2017; brother, Marvin Sullivan; sisters, Jerry Sullivan and Anita Smith.

He is survived by his companion Evelyn Burns of Wilson; son, Randy Sullivan of Wilson; daughter, Tracy Ford and her husband Brian of Wellston, OK; brother, Jimmy Sullivan and wife Elaine of Sulphur; grandchildren, Hailey, Brian ,Jr., Cassie, Kristin, and Brooklyn. Great grandchildren, Tanner, Brady, Tenley, and Caidence; Many other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Leonard Musgrove, Shelby Stephens, Brian Ford, Dean Sullivan, Tanner Stephens, and David Pugh.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Terry Tiner, Dale Vernon, Chris Deathloff, and his musician buddies.

The funeral home will be open from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. for viewing on Monday, May 31, 2021.
