Wilson - Graveside Services for Mr. Billy "Bill" Ray McMillen, Sr., 82 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Bill was born June 12, 1939 in Wilson, OK to the late Mr. Albert Leonard McMillen and Mrs. Edith Catherine (Way) McMillen. He departed from this life on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home in Wilson.
Bill was raised in Wilson attending school there until he enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 when he was only 15 years old during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Ms. Linda JoAn Lester on May 17, 1979 in Wilson and she preceded him in death on September 6, 2011. Bill worked in the oilfield most of his life mostly for Nubs Oil Well Service. He enjoyed being around his family sitting under a shade tree reminiscing about old times. He also enjoyed working on cars, driving around town and spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Linda; brothers, A.C. McMillen, Donnie McMillen, and Toss McMillen; sisters, Naomi Bray, Fern Fulton, and Fay Abshire; sons, Jackie Hill, Paul McMillen, Johnny McMillen, and Billy "Bo" McMillen.
Bill is survived by his sons, Frankie McMillen and wife Sheree of Watonga, Tim McMillen and wife Tamara of Yukon, Eddy Hill of Loco; David McMillen and wife Kelli of Fox, and Shawn McMillen and wife Chasity of Bridge Creek, OK; daughters, Debbie White and husband David of Norman, Neta Lewis; Janna Boyd and husband Chris of Aurora, TX, and Pamela Carter and husband David of Gainesville, TX; sister, Linda Jeffers of Bakersfield, CA; a bunch of grandchildren and a bunch of great grandchildren; and by a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Adam McMillen, James Hill, Lyndon Lewis, Dakota McLean, Johnny Ray McMillen II, and Joe Hill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie James Clayburn, Daniel White, Darrell White, Harley Boyd, Chance McMillen.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7 P.M at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
The family would like to thank Cross Timbers Hospice for their excellent care.
