Betty Jo Buck

Wilson – Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo (Roberts) Buck, 72, formerly of Wilson, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Jody Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Wilson.


Betty was born November 18, 1938 in Enid, Okla., to the late Mr. Richard Harold Roberts and Mrs. Bertha Mae (Nusz) Roberts. She departed this life Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in Meeker, Okla.


Betty was born in Enid and moved to Wilson at the age of 15. She later married and raised four children. She worked at the Wilson Nursing Home for several years before moving to Wichita, Kansas then back to Meeker where she made her home. She loved being around all of her children and grandchildren. She loved working in her garden and canning vegetables to give to her family. She also cherished sitting on her front porch and feeding the squirrels.


Preceding her in death are her parents, daughter, Bonnie Buck, son, Kelly Buck, granddaughter, Tiffany Buck and a half-brother, Leroy.


Survivors include, 2 sons, Alan Buck and wife Janie of Meeker and Coly Buck and wife Tina of Wilson; sister, Jeannie Buck and husband Don of Wilson; grandchildren Brandy Smith, Justin Buck, Holly Campbell, Kendra Adams, Joseph Buck, Jordan Buck, Luke Buck and Levi Buck; great-grandchildren, Macee, Abbye, Mattie, Jaxie, Jude, Jet, Sadie, Gage, Pax, Aspen and Kipton.


Pallbearers are Luke Buck, Levi Buck, Jordan Buck, Lanny Buck, Larry Don Buck and Evan Smith.


Honorary bearers are Joseph, Justin Buck.


Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Wilson.
