Bernice Cathrine Spencer

Graham - Graveside Services for Mrs. Bernice "Bea" Cathrine (Rozzell) Spencer, 90, formerly of Graham are scheduled for 2:00pm Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Graham Cemetery with Rev. JR Townley officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Bernice was born Nov. 2, 1925 at Alma to the late Mr. F. Charles Vester Rozell and Mrs. Emma Bell (Jonas) Rozell. She departed this life Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at her home in Gainesville,TX.

Bernice was raised Alma attending school there where she enjoyed playing on the basketball team. As a teenager she moved with her family to California following work during the dust bowl days. There she worked as a concession attendant and soon met her soon to be husband, Mr. John Henry Spencer, who originally was from Milo. They moved back to the Graham area and soon were united in marriage on February 17, 1945 at Healdton. John worked in the Oil patch while Bea was employed for the Pants factories. She retired from the Marietta Pants Factory in 1973. Bernice enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, sewing and crocheting.

Preceding her in death were her Parents; husband John Henry Spencer -Feb. 10, 2002; daughter, Linda Carriker- March 29, 2002 and a granddaughter, Karen Smith, Dec. 13, 2010.

Survivors include her Son, Mr. Don Spencer and wife Darless of Gainesville, TX; son in law, Frank Carriker of Wilson; 8 grandchildren, Johnnye, Kathy, Wesley, Jeffery, Lisa, Tiffany, Dawn, and Trinity; 27 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
